3 of 46 regions in Europe had good camping weather in November in 2020–2024 — warm but not too hot, and few rain days. These were the warmest:
How SunChaser finds the best weather
Weather apps show the forecast for one place at a time. SunChaser turns the question around: you tell us what weather you want and when you are travelling, and we find campsites, motorhome pitches and places to stay in the area where the forecast actually matches.
- 1
Pick a starting point and radius
Enter a town, address or postcode anywhere in Europe and choose how far you are willing to travel — from 25 to 2,000 km.
- 2
Set your dates and preferred weather
Choose arrival and departure within the next 16 days, the temperature range you enjoy and how much rain per day you can accept.
- 3
We rank places by the weather
For every place in the area we fetch the daily forecast for your dates and score how well each day fits your preferences. The best match comes first.
How the match is calculated
Each day gets a score where temperature weighs the most (60 percent) and precipitation the rest (40 percent). A day counts as a hit when the day's mean temperature is within your range, with a two-degree margin, and the rain stays below your limit. That is why every result shows something like "4 of 5 days".
Frequently asked questions
How far ahead can I search?
Up to 16 days. Forecasts get less certain the further ahead they reach, so it pays to search again a few days before you leave.
Where does the weather data come from?
For Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland we use Yr from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, which has detailed forecasts for the Nordics. For the rest of Europe, and for days beyond Yr's roughly ten-day range, we use Open-Meteo. Places come from Google Places.
Can I book through SunChaser?
No, we do not sell trips. The booking button takes you to the place's own website or a booking site, where you see prices and availability. We do not show real-time availability.
What kinds of trips can I search for?
Campsites, motorhome pitches, hotels, hostels, golf courses and fishing spots. For fishing we also link to fishing licences in countries with a central service, such as Sweden and Norway.
